After Greg Oden was born he and his family lived in Buffalo, NY until he was nine years old and then moved to Terre Haute, Indiana. He attended Fuqua Elementary School and in 7th grade played basketball for Sarah Scott Junior High School. In 8th grade he moved to Indianapolis.
